Introducing Beth Frey, RN, JD – A Powerful Advocate for Patient Rights and Justice
Nace Law Group would like to welcome Beth Frey as the newest addition to our firm. As a trial attorney and a registered nurse, she is a unique and powerful asset to our team. For decades, Beth has been committed to representing clients harmed by negligence or abuse, and we look forward to working alongside her!
Beth’s background
Beth graduated with honors from the York Hospital School of Nursing, where she obtained a nursing diploma and went on to earn an honors undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She worked as a registered nurse at several major hospitals, primarily in their adult intensive care units. Her experiences exposed her to the devastating impact of preventable medical errors. This prompted Beth to transition to a career as an attorney. She earned her Juris Doctor at the University of Baltimore School of Law and leaned on her healthcare experience to provide compassionate and informed advocacy to victims of medical negligence.
Legal career highlights
Beth brings decades of litigation experience to Nace Law Group. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and her primary practice areas include:
- Medical malpractice
- Personal injury
- Wrongful death
- Sexual assault
She has worked for several highly respected firms in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. area. Beth also served as a Hearing Officer for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Over the course of her career, Beth has taken on several leadership positions, including as the President of the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association (now MAJ). She was the first nurse-attorney and third woman to serve in that role. Additionally, she’s been involved in the MAJ’s Executive, Budget, Legislative, and Technology Committees, and held chair positions with the New Lawyers, Membership Services, and the Education and Program committees.
Commitment to community
Beth has been a dedicated volunteer who is committed to giving back to the community. Her pro bono legal work includes special education advocacy, re-entry mediation for Maryland correctional facilities, and senior services assistance (helping the elderly navigate programs and benefits).
Beth’s consistent focus on giving back embodies Nace Law Group’s mission to protect the vulnerable and lift up our community.
